I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting and I am an appointed Sworn Translator and Interpreter by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. This does not mean that I know everything; in reality I am far from it. On-going training is vital for any field of work. In my case, I have more than 8 years in the market of legal and sworn translation and judicial interpretation. After all this experience, now is my time to continue learning and consolidating my knowledge.
That’s why I would like to talk about the Masters offered by the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Legal and Judicial Translation. You can obtain more information about the course in the following link: https://bit.ly/2BOJLzw. The master’s degree aims to combine legal translation and judicial interpretation in the same course.
In addition, this training will allow you to work in different areas of work such as: (Information extracted from the UAB website)
– Translator of legal documents
– Translator before the public authorities
– Corrector of legal documents written in a multi linguistic field
– Interpreter in courts and prosecutor’s offices
– Interpreter in police stations and squad
– Translator-interpreter in wiretaps
The field of sworn translation is very complex and requires a lot of practice, dedication and patience. However it is also an exciting and enriching field to see how we can help our clients in important procedures for their lives.
